There is no such thing as too much security. With so many malicious websites out there, antivirus and firewall programs can use all the help they can get to protect you and your computer. Hekasoft SiteLocker can improve your security measures, by blocking various websites, which are known for their shady reputation. The application comes with its own database and it allows you to add new entries yourself, if you have any knowledge of suspicious websites.

Hekasoft SiteLocker provides support for Windows XP and all later versions. It is offered free of charge and it can be installed in no time. The application does not use too much RAM or processing power and it will not conflict with any other security programs.

Websites can be blocked right away, by typing their URLs and clicking a Lock button on the application's compact user interface. Alternatively, you can click a different Lock option, if you wish to insert additional information like a date, reasons or personal notes. The main interface can be expanded to reveal a list of user-blocked websites. Besides adding sites to your own blacklist, you can also submit it to Hekasoft and let others know about the fraudulent websites you have encountered.

The application's database can be accessed on a separate window. It consists of a long list of malware, scam, spam, ADV and tracking websites, which are blocked by default. You can also find options for updating the database and for unblocking selected sites. Additionally, the database can be exported and imported.

The application works in the background at all times, even if you close the main interface. It won't display any system tray icons or hindering notifications, but it will prevent your web browsers from opening blacklisted websites.
